Looking to enter the mobile world with a statement, Eddie Bauer wanted to support a brand transformation with an outdoor lifestyle and adventure mobile experience – a design exercise requiring a careful marriage of retail goals with a mobile utility experience that hardcore outdoor enthusiasts would value.
Real-world physical constraints and a lack of available data presented engineering challenges, while new technologies announced with the release of iOS7 presented opportunities. The final design brought together limited, but carefully curated trail data with intuitive UX and stunning visual design.

As the UX lead, my process included:
